Aamir Khan's encounter with natural calamities
While I was pondering over the news item showing the 'Cloud Burst in Leh' a sudden comparison drew in my mind automatically. Before moving ahead, let me site the reason why this comparison struck me. Times of India's front page article read - Ranchos' school washed away . It was the same school which was shown in the bollywood's biggest money-grosser till date; 3 Idiots . The producers had opted for a unique shooting location amidst the picturesque and pristine Himalayan peaks in Leh. Everybody associated with the movie made a killing out of the earnings but the super natural powers had some other plans. FLASHBACK: Circa 2001 Aamir Khan had starred in one of the most successful bollywood movies till that time, Lagaan (which subsequently went on to represent India at the Oscars). This film had the story of a village setup in pre Independence era. The shooting location of this village was in Bhuj District in Gujarat (again a very unusual shooting locale). Barel
